Newsflash: Four-Week Registration Review for Selected Sports
The WFG26 Sports & Competitions Department is currently reviewing registration numbers for several sports with low participation.
The following sports are under review: Squash, Rugby Sevens, Basketball 5-on-5, Basketball 3-on-3, Touch Rugby, Short Mat Bowls, Water Polo, Cricket, Softball, and Baseball.
A four-week registration window will now be provided to allow numbers to improve. During this period, competitors, teams, departments, clubs, federations, and fire services are encouraged to promote these sports and support additional registrations.
If registration numbers do not improve to a viable operational level by June 7, 2026, these sports may be removed from the official WFG26 competition schedule.
We encourage anyone wishing to compete in these sports to register as soon as possible.
